In an official executive action under the Great Seal of the State of Maryland, Governor Wes Moore, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and Secretary of State Susan C. Lee have formally conferred the Governor's Citation to STEMpathize International United Nations Partnership.
As a formal commendation from Maryland's chief executive, the Citation recognizes a demonstration of high integrity and ability, and expresses the state's trust and respect for our service to the citizens of Maryland.
Not About the Organization. Everything About the People.
While a commendation from the Governor recognizes integrity and ability, this recognition does not belong to STEMpathize as an institution. It belongs entirely to the people we exist to serve: the youth in underserved zip codes, the families navigating systemic barriers, and the frontline educators holding community classrooms together.
Our organization was founded on a simple, foundational truth: we are only here because public service saved us. We know firsthand what it means to be protected and guided by passionate public school teachers who refused to give up on us, by neighborhood safety nets that kept at-risk youth anchored during turbulent times, and by the lifeline of educational opportunity. Because community service and dedicated educators gave us a future, we carry an unpayable moral debt and an absolute duty to extend that same safety, mentorship, and high-impact learning to every child we can reach. We are here solely to serve the people.
